Speaker of Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bamidele Oloyeloogun on Friday goofed in Idanre by referring to township road of the rocky town as belonging to the federal government.

The number three citizen in Ondo State made the slip while on a consultative tour of Idanre ahead of the forthcoming APC primary elections.

The speaker was also in Idanre to seek support of APC leaders in the town to realize his House of Representatives ambition.

Speaking during the tour,
Oloyeloogun urged APC leaders in Idanre to give him necessary support in his quest to become the House of Representatives candidate of the party.

He mentioned his years of legislative experience as a factor that best qualify him to represent Idanre/Ifedore federal constituency in 2023.

Meanwhile, one of the party leaders in the Local Government, Chief Akinnibosun Boluwaji, The Igbatayo of Idanre. told Oloyeloogun that he has not extended equal employment opportunities to the constituents of local government in Ondo Central Senatorial District which is a zone that the speaker is representing at the state assembly.

More so, another APC leader in Idanre ( Name Withheld) said it was surprising that the incumbent speaker of Ondo State House of Assembly could refer to the township road of Idanre as belonging to the federal government.

“I am not in any way impressed that the speaker actually referred to Idanre township road as a federal government road. I am also not happy that the number three citizen of our state could at best promised to donate two fans and one generator to APC in Idanre, here is a man who has been a speaker for more than 5 years, just too unfortunate ! “, the leader lamented.
