The Federal lawmaker representing Akoko North East/North West Federal Constituency, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo on Saturday said the death of the CEO of Greater Tomorrow Group of Schools, Chief James Olatubosun Lawal is a great loss to Akoko Land.
Tunji-Ojo who expressed his condolence in a statement by his Special Adviser on New Media, Alao Babatunde described the demise of “Uncle Lawal”, as popularly called as the fall of a giant.
The Chairman House Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) said the late educationist placed the region on the world map with the unprecedented feats recorded by his products during and after school.
He said, “Uncle Lawal lived a unique life. The schools he established in Ikare and Arigidi Akoko are institutions that have modelled men and forged them into greatness. He was a great administrator who inspired our sons and daughter to greatness.
“It is thus sad that we will never get to see you again but we take consolation that your legacies are forever crafted in our hearts.
“This is an irreparable loss for us in Akoko as well as his family, students and members of staff of Greater Tomorrow Group of Schools.”
