As part of my numerous poverty alleviation measures, on Monday, another set of 200 market women from the various wards in Idanre will be empowered with the Small Alhaji money grant.
This is the third phase of this quarterly money grant in Idanre/Ifedore Federal constituency. I strongly believe in this measure, as it has been producing results for the beneficiaries.
This grant, in its own little way, will ease the pressure usually mounted on our petty traders before securing loan from institutions.
Also, on Wednesday, the 16th, we’ll launch our agricultural empowerment scheme across the Federal constituency.
About 2000 farmers are set to be presented with farm implements, such as Wheelbarrows, Cutlasses, and pumps. We’ll also distribute Cocoa seedlings and cassava stems for cultivation. These crops are highly exportable crops, and have various end products for consumption.
The planting season is here, thereby, we want our farmers to plant accurately, and harvest bountifully. Other infrastructure development are also being put in place, to ease the mobility of our farmers to and fro the farm settlements.
