An aide to Sen. Ajayi Boroffice, Mayowa Adojutelegan, has reacted to the 7 days ultimatum issued by National Association of Nigerian Students. Mayowa, claimed that the “self acclaimed financial secretary of the union is being instigated by critics of the Senator”.
Mayowa continued by saying plans were already made by Sen. Ajayi Boroffice to give out scholarship to over 250 students across Ondo North senatorial district, adding that date and venue of event would be unveiled soon.
Adojutelegan also berated Tobiloba Oluwarotimi, NANS Fin. Sec, for issuing an ultimatum to a serving senator, adding that it’s unconstitutional and such statement doesn’t carry any weight.
Here’s the full text:
In respect to the 7 days ultimatum given to the Senator representating Ondo North Senatorial District by the self acclaimed Financial Secretary of National Association of Nigeria Students Ondo State.
It is out of bound and over ruled of his constitutional right for someone who have not be inaugurated to exercise the power of an office he is yet to be inaugurated to. This act is suspected to be politically motivated which might actually bring down the vision and the arrangements put in place by the Senator regarding the giving of Busary to students from Ondo North Senatorial district.
It is not right to use already finished project to campaign for cheap popularity because all preparation have been put in place by the Senator to see to the giving of Bursary to over 250 Students from Ondo North Senatorial district. Before now it’s a glaring thing that the Senator have been working towards the betterment of students body in his Senatorial district.
I will advise the self acclaimed Financial Secretary to rather channel his muscles to getting Bursary from the Ondo State Government.
Signed by Amb Abiola Mayowa Adojutelegan
SA ON MOBILIZATION to senator Ajayi boroffice the deputy majority leader.
