I congratulate fellow Muslim ummah home and abroad, on the completion of the Ramadan fast and the celebration of Eid-el-fitr, which is a major pillar of Islam.

On this year’s occasion, I urge us not to depart from the holy life practiced during the holy month.

I implore us to be law-abiding, having the spirit of love, self discipline, kindness and tolerance taught by the Holy Prophet Mohammed (SAW)

This period in our country has made it peremptory for all Nigerians (regardless of our religious beliefs) to cohabit in peace and harmony, and to seek the face of God in prayer for our dear country.
