Fmr Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Hon Rasheed Badmus has described MHR representing Akoko Northwest/Northeast federal constituency and the chairman, House committee on NDDC, Hon Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo as an Akoko Star war hero of liberation struggle, stressing that his resilience, tenacity and perseverance is one of the reasons Akoko is where it is today.

Hon Rasheed Badmus made this disclosure via a birthday message released by his media team, affirming that posterity will be fair to BTO, when it comes to democratic journey since the existence of Akoko North federal constituency.

The release reads “On behalf of myself, family and the good people of Akoko Northwest LG particularly the progressive minds, I identify with and celebrate the birthday of Hon Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, one of the leading and shining lights in the Akoko Northwest and Northeast liberation struggle.

“The strategic and tactical leadership BTO brought to bear in piloting the affairs of the good people of Akoko Northwest/Northeast and Ondo State generally, religious loyalty to the liberation struggle and above all, public enlightenment and engagement strategy will make a good folklore for generations to come.

“The liberation battle has since been won with a resounding success, yet, we mustn’t rest on our oars, as we’ve only won the battle and not the war for a better Akoko we can all be proud of

“The war can only be said to be won when we sustainably guarantee a secured future for our teeming youths, enabling environment for all categories of Akoko indigenes to thrive and triumph, and when consensus building built on justice and equity is entrenched in our daily lives across board.

“It is my prayer that God Almighty bless you with longer life and greater strength to do make even greater history for yourself in the service of our constituency and our dear State in general” he prayed.
