Convener of Eka Merin Youth Alliance, Amb Abiola Mayowa Adojutelegan as well as other Comrades in Ondo North Senatorial District, earlier today countered Mr. Gbolabo Ogunleye’s statement against Senator Robert Ajayi Borroffice.

Gbolabo Ogunleye had earlier condemn the Deputy Majority Leader of the Senate and also passed vote of no confidence on the Senator, claiming that the Senator had done nothing commendable since he has been elected to represent Ondo North, this statement angered Youths in the district and they have countered his claims with ‘notable achievements’ in Ondo North facilitated by the Senator.

We came across a statement recently made and published by an online publication with faceless and unrecognized group signed by one Mr Gbolabo Ogunleye, claiming to have passed a vote of no confidence on the performing and outstanding Deputy Majority Leader of the Senate, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Robert Ajayi Borroffice.

Ordinarily, we would not have responded to allegations raised in such manner, but we would like to answer your statement in what we hope will be patient and reasonable terms. It is obvious that you are not aware of the numerous project that has been facilitated by the workaholic Distinguished Senator to Ondo North Senatorial District in the last Ten (10). These achievements are too plentiful to mention, but for the avoidance of doubt, I will only mention a few here.
At the moment, Senator Boroffice has reasonable numbers of people across the senatorial district on his payroll as Advisers and Special Assistants, since assumed office as a senator of Federal Republic of Nigeria, the gesture that was double when he became principal officer in the red chamber and these people receive their salary as at when due.

The writer claims that the senator has not constructed a single kilometer of road, even when all eyes can see contractors working day and night at Iwaro to Ikun road in Akoko south west local government, the project that will be completed and delivered before the rainy season for easy movement of our people and goods not to talk of so many road project that has been completed in the last few years of quality and equal representation.?
Again, an attempt to cause suspicious between the Distinguished Senator and our highly respected and performing BTO will always fail because as we can understand it, the two of them are tirelessly working to bring dividend of democracy to our people
The Distinguished Senator Ajayi Borrofice has facilitated Federal jobs in hundreds to the unemployed youth in our senatorial district and we commend his good gesture in this regards.

While we don’t believe in channeling our efforts towards a baseless accusation as this, we will mention a few of the achievements of our Distinguished Senator and rather allow the records to speak for itself. INDUSTRIALIZATION , AGRICULTURE, EDUCATION, PROVISION OF PORTABLE WATER , HEALTHCARE.

AGRICULTURE
Tractors acquired for Senator Ajayi Boroffice Youth in Agric Initiative.
50 Hectares of cassava farm land to be cultivated for Ondo North youth before May 2021.

EDUCATION
Construction of ultra modern school classrooms with VIP toilets, provision of school desks and chairs and perimeter fencing.
Owani, Imeri, Ido Ani, Ikaro, St James Primary School Ugbe Akoko, Agboriki Comprehensive High School, Owalushin Community Secondary School Oka, Muslim School Ilepa ( Perimeter Fencing), Christ School Oka, Oyinle High School, Oba, Christ School Ibaka Oka, ZI Primary School and others

HEALTHCARE
Construction of Obstetrics Unit, Iboje Oka and now Federal Medical Centre, Owo, annex.
Construction of hospitals Arigidi (under construction), Supare (Under construction) Oka
And new one to be constructed in Irun Akoko. The projects are glaring and available to be verify.
we are aware that elections are around the corner and various faceless and unregistered groups will spring up in support of a candidate and by so doing, trying to bring down a performing senator like Distinguished Sen RAB, While we firmly believed and recognize the constitutional right of others to aspire, our candid advise is that they should desist in all attempt to bring others down because history has revealed that the bring down syndrome is never a profitable venture.
Lastly, candidates should be allowed to contest and campaign based on the track record of performance and their contributions to the society. Groups such as the one coordinated by the faceless Mr Gbolagbo Ogunleye should support their candidate and leave the masses to decide who continues to represent them at the red chambers.
