2023: Akoko North West LG Council Of Obas Endorse Alade For Senate, Pledges Ardent Support

As monarchs are primordially ascribed to be deities in Yoruba land and their blessings are believed to incur auspiciousness on desires, the Council of Obas in Akoko North West Local Government has pledged their support towards the Senate ambition of Rear Admiral Samuel Ilesanmi Alade rtd. (SIA), the Balogun of Akure land in the forthcoming Ondo North Senatorial election in 2023.

The council Chairman, the Akala of Ikaram, HRM, Oba (cdre) A.O Momodu on behalf of the monarchs at his palace in Ikaram Akoko declared their vigorous support for SIA to become the senator representing the interest of Ondo North Senatorial District in the House of Assembly, Abuja.
The monarchs showered rain of blessings on Alade with an open and joyous hearts.

Speaking, Oba Momodu said, “I have known Alade to be a very responsible man over time and consequent upon this fact, he is someone very reliable.

“Nevertheless, Alade should endeavor to fulfill all his promises to each monarchs and their respective communities when he eventually assume the senatorial office.”

Also speaking, the Zaki of Arigidi, HRM, Oba (Dr.) Alh. Yisa Olanipekun (IV) on the current manace of insecurity nationwide, “We are scared of what’s happening around us now, the case of insecurity is becoming too much. He pleaded for the government to help tackle the bad situation.

Oba Olanipekun said that in Akoko North West LG, we always support our children, we are all happy with you so we will definitely support Alade.

The Owa of Ogbagi land, HRM, Oba Victor Adetona (JP) stressed that, he has known Alade since he was still in active service as he have been trying in his best to better the lives of the people and therefore, he’s worthy of their support.

He, then urged SIA to remember his people when he finally get to the corridor of power and he prayed that God grants all his heart desires.

In response, Alade noted that after he served in the Nigerian Military Service for about 37 years, he discovered that all LGs in Ondo North Senatorial District is lagging behind in infrastructural development and he intends to help the situation if given a chance. He said that his paramount objective is to better the lives of his people.

Alade said that he chose to serve his people as a senator because he could foresee that the opportunity will give him the chance to make developmental plans for the people of Ondo North Senatorial District.

In his words, “I have never been a fraudulent politician or a cheat nor a betrayer. May God bless my ambition and I promise that I’m going to be for everyone when I am voted in”.

Responding to the alleged conflict between him and Bunmi Tunji Ojo (BTO), he cleared that BTO is like his son and have never been enemies, noting that the uproar of confusion in air especially in Akoko North West Local Government Area was caused by some unscrupulous persons claiming to be supporters.

He, however declared that there is still room for any opposing politicians to join his team if interested to work with him.

As SIA is an indigene of Oyin Akoko, Oloyin of Oyin Akoko, HRM, Oba L.O Bamisile (JP) pleaded with his fellow monarchs for their support towards Alade’s success in the 2023 senatorial election.

While sighting instances of Alade’s numerous achievements so far, he mentioned the empowerment of many people in Akoko community and their subjects have affirmed to that as beneficiaries.

At the meeting was the Executive Chairman of Akoko North West LG, Elder Ayo Akande FCA, Prince Dayo Bello (Akoko NW), Engr Adesina (Akoko NW) Mrs Kolawole (Akoko SW) and other APC politicians of note. In his Vote of Thanks, Prince Dayo Bello expressed his profound gratitude to all the monarchs for their love, exhortation and support to Admiral Alade so far, attesting that he can vouch for Alade for he’s very kind, generous and responsible.
