Heroic Cristiano Ronaldo handed Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone a dose of his own medicine as Juventus progressed into the Champions League quarter-finals.
When Jose Maria Gimenez opened the scoring in the first leg for the La Liga side at the Wanda Metropolitano stadium, Simeone turned to the stands and grabbed his crotch.
After the game and taking a 2-0 lead into tonight’s second leg in Turin, Simeone said the gesture was to “show our fans we have cojones.”
But it was Juve’s talisman who had the last laugh scoring an incredible hat-trick to sink the Spaniards.
And on the final whistle amidst the wild celebrations, the 34-year-old found a moment to mimic Simeone’s “cojones” goal celebration to the delight of the Turin faithful.
After the historic 3-0 win against Atletico, Ronaldo who netted hat-trick told Sky Italia: “This is why Juventus brought me in, to help on magic nights like this”
