Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ondo State, Engr. Ade Adetimehin described education as a vital key to the development of every society, saying “the APC government will continue to explore ways to ensure adequate funding” of the sector.

Speaking when he received leaders of the students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba in in his office, the party boss hailed the performance of the Ondo State Government, led by Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, adding that “the administration has done beyond expectations in just two years.”

He said the government was putting in place measures that would reduce unemployment in the state, citing the Deep Sea port project in Ilaje Local Government Area as an example.

He pleaded with the students to help educate their colleagues and parents on the achievements of the present administration in the State and the need to support the party.

The political tactician advised the students to be good ambassadors of their communities wherever they find themselves. He urged them to maintain the peace on their campus at all times, stressing that the most important reason they are in school “was to acquire knowledge, interract with others, and become better leaders.

Earlier, the leader of the students’ delegation and president of the Students’ Union Government, Comrade Adesomoju Samuel, pledged support for the party and the government.

The students itemised some of the keys needs of the Adekunle Ajasin University, and prayed the State Chairman to intervene on behalf of the students, saying, “We need some basic infrastructures in the institution to enhance qualitative learning environment.”

  1. Because they are fools and greedy because of money and their stomachs. Students are not in school, they went ahead endorsing a government who doesn’t have anything for the youths and the masses. Awon Oloriburuku
